Shorter Senate Democrats to Preznit Bush

Elections Have Consequences...

And Ye Shall Know the Republicans By The Trail of Their Dead Divorce Decrees

Not that he has ever been the poster child for family values in the pseudo-Christian, theocratic, Republican sense of the word, but Presidential wannabe Newt Gingrich's personal life continues to be the gift that keeps on giving to his would be political opponents.  It turns out that while he was playing the role of holier than thou Speaker of the House during the Lewinsky scandal/Clinton Impeachment Circus, Newt was getting a little something, something on the side from his second wife to be, now second ex-wife (you know, the one he dumped at his daughter's birthday party, as opposed to the one he dumped while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery.

Classy.

Newt, of course, joins a long line of Republican presidential candidates who don't exactly practice what they preach when it comes to monogamy, including John McCain, who dumped his first wife because she just wasn't rich enough to support his Mt. Everest size political ambitions, and Rudy Giuliani, whose second (or was it third) wife learned of his infidelity at a press conference.

Then again, what do I know about monogamy.  I'm just a godless liberal whose been married to the same woman he absolutely adores for nearly 21 years now.
